The Adventure Caverns take you off the accessible boardwalks and into the raw limestone tunnels. You will navigate winding passages, climb over 390-million-year-old rock formations, and squeeze through narrow gaps.
These sections are only accessible on specific guided tours. The 90-minute Explorer Tour requires a minimum age of 5 years. The intense 120-minute Adventurer Tour involves crawling and requires a minimum age of 10 years. Enclosed footwear is strictly required for both.

Ancient tree roots dangle from the ceiling in this visually striking section. The roots weave straight through the solid limestone to reach water below. You will visit this area on the 90-minute Explorer Tour. It provides a deeper look into the cave system without requiring extreme crawling.

This section demands agility as you climb and squeeze through rocky obstacles. It is a core physical challenge on the 120-minute Adventurer Tour. Expect to get very dusty against the rock walls. Make sure you wear older, flexible clothing that allows you to move freely.
15 minutesHeadlamps required
Navigate a famously tight and remote passageway deep inside the ridge. Your headlamp provides the only source of light as you wiggle through the narrow limestone gaps. This route is not suited for anyone with claustrophobia. You can only access this section on the 120-minute Adventurer Tour.
